A couple short poems dedicated to childhood

*~*Dolls*~*

I'm sorry
About the dirt on your dress
And the tangled curls
I can't take care of you
You're broken
Like the tea pot
But your cold skin
Is still beautiful
I know you're crying
But I can't see your tears
You're turning to dust

*~*Pipecleaner Dreams*~*

Burnt Sienna trees
Reaching to a robin's egg blue sky
Macaroni and cheese colored sunsets
With Juicy juice purple stains
And clouds made of cotton balls
That fade
Into a giltter velvet
Licorice scented black
There are castles
Made of popcicle sticks
Surrounded by forests of pom poms and felt
Where the wild things are

*~*Eve*~*

A dead smile
Lifeless eyes staring back at me
Black
Like a burnt candle wick
No sign of movement
Or thought
Hair plastered everywhere
Covered in dirt and dust
And promises of forever
Aching to be held once more
I pick you up
And hold you for the final time
Searching for some sign
Of the world we once lived in together
We walked hand in hand to places
I can never go back
Not without the parts of me
That I left with you
I push some of your stuffing back in
And run my finger along your fraying seams
I let you go
To where ever my imagination went
