A poem about the feeling I associate with anxiety.
Anxiety

Tightness running through my veins
Muscles tensed to breaking point
Pulse too rapid to deep count
I need your strength
Before I freak out
My hands are shaking
My knees are weak
I have trouble standing on my own feet
I'm sinking fast
I don't know why
Sometimes I feel I'm about to die
Don't leave me here inside myself
I'm to frightened to free myself
Of the thoughts
That rattle the walls of my sanity
Breaking through reality
