This is a poem about depression clinging to one's self
A painful feeling

What is this feeling,
Clinging to me,
Holding me close,
Yet pushing me away.

I know its bad,
Yet I'm clinging to it,
As if I am it,
And it is me.

This cage that surrounds me,
I must break free,
Let this lion roar,
And this cage be no more.

This cage is not me,
This rage i feel against it,
Is what I am truly,
A person,
Not a feeling,
But a human being.
