the rain brings back so much of her
It’s the rainy weather that makes her think,
Of sad things like friends past.
While the Earth takes a drink,
She remembers those things that didn’t last.

Her pains, fears and sorrows slide down her face,
Searching for a new home to take.
She waits for the happier feelings to take place,
But those are only feelings the sun can make.

The happy feelings of love and joy,
Where a bad day could just go away.
It’s like it is one big ploy,
To affect the way she feels that day.

It’s so nice to have a sunny day,
Yet the rainy ones creep up so fast.
The weather just works that way,
Making sure her happy feelings don’t last.

Rainy days make her want to cry,
As she remembers things of great sorrow;
But she knows that today’s weather will fly by
And there will be hope for a sunny day tomorrow.
