Its you and me
this crazy thing
that everyone's talking about

It's up
It's down
It's a roundabout.

Thoughts weave in
thoughts weave out
I don't know what to think

It's a ship on the sea
it's passing through a storm
I think this ship might sink

Don't get me wrong
I've done none
And sadly it is not long

But I can't think straight
with all these thoughts
and emotions gone wrong

gone wrong, gone wonky,
like the bray of a donkey.

I fear doom if I do

You've placed me oh so high
I feel higher than the sky

you've done this to yourself
with me trying to talk some sense into you
      from this shelf.

take me down and play with me
don't let dust settle, don't let me be

I might be a doll
