Day dreaming in a battlefield and your heart leading your mind
My heart beating fast,
My palms starting to sweat,
My knees beginning to tremble,
My ears ringing from the sirens,
I was in a battle

A place i was familiar to,
How could i ever forget it?
The place where everything was green,
No colours apart from a deep shade of red,
No-one would dare cross that land... so why am i?

I found myself standing still,
So much happening around me,
Yet everything was just a blur,
All i could hear was my heart beating louder than the gun shot,
And people yelling at me.

My body not moving a muscle,
I had a whirlwind of emotions,
'Hide yourself', 'stay down',
Thats all i could remember,
... everything went silent.

I was awoken by the bright sun,
My hand covering my heart,
All i could see was blood,
The coward inside me took over,
There i just lay... crying.
