poem written about the Twin Towers tragedy on 9/11/2001 (copyrighted)
I had a vision of the American bald eagle
Laying in its nest
Wrapped up in the American flag
A tear cascaded down its feathery face...

And on that tradgic day, September 11th
Another day of infamy yet again
I saw the twin sisters fall
Like two giants on their bended knees...

The eagle, like our fallen herose
Will live on in the hearts of us all
She will never surrender, she is our hero
Heroes become legends, and legends never die.
