This my first poem, written while a rainy evening was slipping into a cool night.
Then again there was this little sorrow.
encased in a jewelled shell.
There was no reason whatsoever.

As I lay on the grey crossroads,
the one tree at the fork gave me no shadow.
Sun burned me and there was no reason.

As I stared into the cloudless void,
that was too cruel even for despair,
my head buzzed and there was no reason.

Then again once in a while...
those rare rainbow moments.
The water heaving for me.
I kiss the water and still no reason.

Blood drips faster than tears.
I can't sing: there's a tear in my throat.
All of it is choking me and there's all the reason.
