Eulogy on myself. Written to a prompt.
Her days...

Thinking of Maria,
How to tell of her days?
Eating doomed her body:
Living at tortoise pace.

Thus taking things easy,
In mostly cheerful mood,
Her home turned a stable,
That was not as it should.

Yet loving her children,
Trying to be their Mom,
For them always struggling
To avoid from the slum.

Softly existing, thus
Her years silently went,
In spite of her talents,
Days anonimously spent.

Riverbeds full of pebbles,
She was just one of them,
Settling for the smooth way,
Never digging for that gem.

If just a pebble she was,
Yet she glinstered in the sun,
For her eyes, warm and kind,
Still told that living was fun.

Thinking of Maria,
Whose days now all are told,
We'll never forget her,
May God take her in His hold.
