A poem about two people who fall in love. Each has something they hide.
She's a victim of addiction.
He's obsessed with cars.
She'll never admit it, the way he makes her shake.
He sees right through her barrier, he knows that it's fake.

They're miles apart, but inches away.
Watching the sky, as it fades to gray.
The view, it's breath-taking, much like his smile.
Watching her take it all in, god it's been a while.

But there's a problem with the sky tonight.
He silently wonders if she'll truly be alright.
She asks herself if he'd pick her up, if she fell.
His mind is elsewhere tonight, she's the only one that can tell.

She feels his presence near, but they're still so far apart.
There's something getting in the way, blocking out his heart.
He observes the girl beside him, they both know he'll never tell.
She knows that because of what she's done, she'll likely end up in hell.

In despite of what he's lost; she's everything he's not.
Unable to speak, he makes her weak.
It seemed as if they knew what one another thought.
They're infinite, tonight, but give this scene another peek.

He holds her close, not knowing that it could be meant to be.
She touches his chest, thinking about how his heart is so far out of reach.
He breaths, barely audible, "Babe, do your best to remember my name."
She whispers, trembling, "We'll take this to our grave."
