This a poem dedicated to the people who have let their lives slip in this world
This perfect little suburb life, a cul-de-sac of dreams
Meth producing mommies who don’t have the right to scream
Little girls with golden curls, too afraid to be alone
For the monster we call pedophile already exists within their homes
Homelessness and hunger running rampant through the nation
and the rich are getting richer while our children suffer malnutrition
Yet obesity is rising, health declining, we continue, unaware
Naivety is costly, innocence confused with lack of care
Here in the land of the free, we only believe in the worthlessness of dreams
Apathy has led us to massacres and out of control extremes
Schools preach, oh no wait, “teach” education with no point
Lack of will, compassion, only leads our leaders to disappoint
Abortion, gay marriage, and protestors at funerals?
Have our views become so skewed that we really have no morals?
