If the Waves Could Speak

If the waves could speak…
I would ask them if they ever got tired of going in and out, constantly in and out.
I would ask them if the sand was their enemy or friend.
I would ask them if they ever got tired of constantly harboring someone in their bays and shores.
I would ask them if they ever fell in love with a person, or the people that hugged their tides.
If the waves could speak…
What would you ask them?
