A tribute to the unpredictability of my muse: how ideas always come at the worst times.
My mind is filled with a cavernous hollow,
Which needs sharp words and a plot to follow.

But where do I find my inspiration?
I’ve lost the road map to that location.

The rest of my head is cluttered with thought.
Emotion and laughter are all that I’ve got.

Somewhere around here is hidden my muse:
Under my pillow, or inside my shoes.

What will it help if I know where he is?
I have to wait until he finishes.

I’ll be half-asleep, having turned out the light,
Before he will bless me with something to write.
