A poem from Atlas' perspective.
Song of Atlas

11/01/05

The fate of the world
Is in my hands
It weighs me down
It gives not, only demands

Demands that I breathe
But daren’t live
Alone I kneel
Who can know what I give?

You cannot understand
You cannot feel
My suffering
To you I am not even real

Time fades memories
My name – Atlas
Forgotten lore
A myth only, alas!

I hold it alone,
Who hears my cries?
Eternally
Freedom forever dies.
