attempt at a happy poem in a time of sadness
Last night, last night I was stupid
Three large assignments started past midnight
Oops.
One energy drink
Twelve hours later
My heart pounds a fixed horrible fast rhythm as I lie down

Funny, I am trying to write happy words
HAPPY
Graduation, 25 days.....finally
I like school
Hate roommates
Hate Peoria
HAPPY
Like job
Hate summer
HAPPY
My room is empty now
Ha- I tricked you - that is happy - see above about roommates.

Uh oh- I'm slipping, my next words---feel----sad
It's just...the pounding of the caffeine ('No Fear' they call it. Psh I fear taht I will have to call 911 about my seeming heart attack or heart palpitation) it's just, the pounding makes me think, about...my heart...and
NO
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY
Love, stars, moonlight, flowers, butterflies,
Gaze, care, lust, yearn, dream, sparkle,
.....tear- - doubt- - - hurt - panic --anger- -  frustration---exhaustion
HAPPY?!?!?!?!?!?!
STRUGGLE

Sorry, I tried.... :)
