She stared out into the woods and breathed deep the cool night air. Something was going to happen, she just didn't know when or what.

She had that restless, uneasy feeling she always got before something big happened. Her chest was Tight and she felt like screaming.

The anxious anticipation Dripped from her voice as sighed. The night was cool almost chilly and she saw the moonlight flowing down through the trees. The leaves shimmered and glowed as they danced in the breeze.

All of a sudden she heard a voice float in on the wind. She shoke her head No, she was imaging things she thought, the spookiness of the forest could do that to you, especialy being alone on a cool fall night.

She leaned into the wind and paused. This time she knew she heard it, "Camille" it whispered to her. Had she not been listening for it she would have missed it.

She shivered and moved back into the bedroom,And threw her robe around her. It swished around her ankles and made a whisper as it settled on her. It was a sheer robe, almost translucent under the moonlight, as she drew it around her shoulders. She pulled it tighter now and set out into the night.

Still hearing the whisper of his voice she moved quickly now. The voice was deep inside her head now, not out on the breeze as before."Camile"" she heard again, and with her primal need growing she began to move forward. She leapt over a fallen tree and broke into a fevered run, not even sure as to what she was running to or from.

The branches from the trees brushed her body as she raced past, tugging and pulling at her robe. Her long brown hair was fling out behind her, and her breasts rose and fell with the quickening of her breath.

She slowed as she came to the clearing, and her hands tenitively moved the branches from her face. She stepped out of the shadows of the forest and gasped. Her hands flew to her throat as he whispered again"camile" with no movement of his lips at all.

Slowly She moved towards him, as she did she saw the deep grey of his eyes, like a sky after a long summer storm, and they were more beautiful than she remembered. As she walked towards him she saw his black shirt, buttoned to the collar. It was pressed to perfection and brought out the complexion that had always reminded her of a peach, not yet quite ripe. The moonlight rained down on his golden hair and the genital breeze moved it slightly. Light and dark strands mingled together as the breeze moved it more. His jeans were tight in all the right places And fell just right onto the tops of his shiny yet slightly scuffed boots.

She reached him just as he opened his arms to her. She sighed and wrapped her arms around him her ear just level with the beating of his heart. She smiled to find it racing just as much as hers was. She gazed into his eyes once again and before she could utter a word ,his fingers took her chin and pulled it up into a deep kiss of longing. Their lips barely brushed each others and the sensation sent a jolt running for her very center. Without a thought she felt her arms draping around his neck and her fingers moving into his hair. She pushed him into her own kiss, neither one stopping till their lungs screamed for breath.

"I cant believe you have found me!" she gasped quietly.

"Yes I have my love, and now you are mine again." He breathed into her neck as they hugged.

She had been taken from him long ago, in the midst of the long forgotten battle. One of the last battles for freedom of their kind.

He had sent her here, Not being able to bear the thought of her heartbreak in seeing him dead in battle, nor could he stand the thought of in the midst of the fight, the fear of something happing to her was far greater for him. They held each other close and kissed and touched, there bodies becoming reacquainted faster than expected.

He couldn't believe it, she looked exactly the same after all these years. Her long curly hair shimmered in the moonlight, flowing like a dark waterfall down her back.

She still wore the necklace he had given her to protect. He could tell it had never been removed. He saw the outline on her skin as she moved.. It was the symbol of their people and she had known he would be back for it, and for her. It was the very thing the battle that had drove them apart had been fought to protect. In the hands of the Brethren, it could be used to bring about peace for their people, in the hands of there enemy, death and destruction. The necklace laid on her chest perfectly aligning with the center of her collarbone., and it rose and fell with the drawing of her breath. The silvery nightgown she wore off set the stones just right. The straps of the dress were so slight it barely clung to her. It flowed down her body brushing the tops of her feet.

Finally the overwhelming emotion of being together again gave way to need. She smiled up at him and he saw the incisors grow. As his had begun to do as well. She wrapped her arms around her neck and hopped as he lifted.Camile wrapped her legs around his waist as Vincent's arms pulled her close.

As gently he could muster, after being apart all this time, his hand ran from the small of her back to entwined in her hair, and he slowly bent down to her neck. He slid his teeth into her racing pulse, and sigh= at the velvety feel of her warm blood flowing over his tounge. She sighed in return and bent her head to him as well, her teeth working slightly harder to break the tough skin. His blood poured into her mouth and the taste never forgotten carried a newness with it. She tasted the loneliness from him as she was sure he tasted from her. She arched against him and her hands moved to feel him, the pleasure and satisfaction overwhelming.

Finally when they were both gasping for air they parted, and with a lick of there tongues the closed the wounds. They locked arms and held one another, never wanting it to end. She looked at him as she gently grasped his neck and pulled him down for a kiss, and whispered to him" Never again Parted" "never" he answered, with both words and his eyes. He placed her softly on the ground and they prepared to go, when from behind they heard a voice.

" I knew if I followed you long enough you would led me straight to it!"

Vincent spun around placing Camille at his back." Miguel" he said. Miguel smiled at him showing his fangs made ready for a fight. "how long" Vincent asked? Ohh long enough to get bored, he replied, "frankly I'm surprised at you Vincent, all these years and never once did you sense me. You are slipping in your old age"

He moved closer now as he spoke hopping to catch a glimpse of their Princess. "And still she wears it, faithful to the end Huh?"" when are you going to just hand it over to me and let us do as we will with it?" no need for another messy battle for it" his smile was sickening, he was taunting them, begging Vincent to strike and fight him.

Vincent felt the furry in him grow right along with his fangs as well." Never" he spat at him, the disgust dripping from his voice." do you really think we are going to give up that easily and hand over the one thing to destroy our entire race?" Camille asked him calmly.

Miguel snarled at her, "how am I to destroy us ?" he asked. That vial contains the blood of our mother, all of us, It can only be used to give us long lasting life" he replied coldly. She new that's not why he sought it. She knew she must fund out why also before it was too late." yes" she screamed, "what happens when it leaks out to the humans again like so long ago?" it will be another sad waist of life all over again"

That battle fought so long ago nearly wiped us off the face of the earth, I'm not going to let it happen again as long as there still breath in my Body!" She whispered, the dare dripping out of her words." well that's something that can be easily remedied" he shot back and with that he launched himself at her.

Vincent jumped as well meeting him in the middle of his flight, claws aimed directly for his heart. Miguel managed to dodge him and avoid contact, falling and rolling on the ground below. He lifted up off the ground and already Vincent was stalking a path around him, eagerly awaiting his next move.Mieguel lunged for him With clenched fists. "ohh this will be fun my friend" Vincent taunted him. It had been far to long since he had been in a brawl like this, his fists his only wepon.Camile screamed inside his head, "Vincent what should I do?" "run he said back to her, the necklace must be protected. Get back to the cabin I will be there for you when our dance is finished he chuckled

No sooner then the words left his mouth did the forest rock with explosion. She new that was no longer an option.

She stood as tall as she could and walked to the side of the clearing. Vincent watched in awe as always and almost took a punch through distraction. He grew irritated with Miguel and threw three back in rapid succession, one to the neck, one to his chest and one right above his groin. As he gasped and sputtered for breath Vincent watched her once again. Her arms uplifted She called her power to her, the first time in ten years. The wind picked up her hair and sent it fling, as she uttered her plea to the force with in. As the light from within grew bright she looked at Miguel. Vincent turn back to him and saw the terror on his face. He jumped and kicked him into the middle of the clearing, knocking the wind from him once again. Camille's body arched, her head flew back and he heard the scream escape her. Flying to the ground he saw the light leave her body and shoot towards Miguel. It encased him and he glowed. She screamed once more and collapsed as their enemy shattered into the night air. Ashes flew to the tree tops and the wind carried the remaining cry of Miguel's pain away.

Camille whimpered and Collapsed." its starting again, she sobbed, I can feel the next battle in my bones.

Vincent touched her mind with his lightly. She was remembering the war that had started it all, all the while she cried.

He saw the memory as if it was his own.

She stepped out into the light and looked at the senseless murder all around her.

There were bodies as far as she could see, humans and vampires side by side both just as dead. Humans were strewn about, their throats ripped out and the blood still pooling around them. The evil ones were full as ticks now and just killing for fun.

She looked at her fallen people and grew sad. Vampires laid on the ground, wooden stakes driven through there chest their throats slashed as well, most beheaded. It was awful to her how the imagination of one man long ago could influence the way people thought of her people even today. She still laugh at the movies today, as he sadness flutter in her heart." show us a cross and shrink away in fear>" she laughs she fingered the cross on the amulet." garlic?" was quite tasty actualy.Stakes through the heart, beheadings? This was what saddened her. Far to many innocents had been slaughtered this way. Children even, she shuddered at the work of disillusioned humans.

One day, she had vowed her people laying lifeless at her feet, she would avenge them.

Vampires and humans would co-exist once again once this era realized the what there blood had to offer.

She feed on the blood of the living yes, but it was not the blood that kept them alive, it was the energy they got form it. Yes a vampire could grow old and die should he decide to stop feeding. Once the energy faded the ageing process began anew. There blood was far more powerful than was know.

A vampire never became ill, he never had to call in sick to work with the flu. They never had to fight cancer, or even had to fear AIDS. There blood was so rich and strong that any threat to their health was destroyed upon entering their bodies.

And despite all the legends handed down, they did not live among the shadows of the night. For the sun is a giant ball of warmth and energy and they soaked it up each day. The suns rays each morning was there cup of coffe,it did not kill them it made them strong. She smiled at the thought of how they live each day going about there day just as the humans did and them never suspecting a thing. They were one in the same, the went to college, they worked all kinds of different jobs, they raised there family's as the humans did, their children played on the same playgrounds. Their only difference was there need for blood, for the energy it gave them. That and each vampires special ability.

It was not uncommon for two vampires to be riding on the same buss and have along conversation inside there minds.

Camille's power was great, she barely still new how to use it. She destroyed evil, with the goodness she had inside. The light that flowed out of her when she called on it, sought out evil and sent it back to where it came from.

Vincent was one hell of a self taught fighter no doubt, but his power was being able to communicate with his mind. He could read your thoughts and talk to you.

As her mind turned to him he thought of his power, and a memory of his own surfaced. He could remember a time long ago, before he even knew what it meant to speak at all. He suckled at his mothers breast as a baby and asked her about the world. The comfort of her spoken voice soothed him even now., much like camels voice did now.

He scooped her up into his arms and held her till the memories faded away. She sobbed into his shoulder and he carried her out of the forest.

As they walked he held her head and watched all around them, ensuring her safty.he pushed out wards to see if he could feel anyone lurking, but sensed none.

They reached the car and Vincent helped her inside. She was always weak after this, and he knew she needed to feed. The dawn was fast approaching though and it would give her enough strength to move around and find some nourishment soon enough. Vincent slid in next to her, and they drove off. He went slow and careful as not to bounce her around to much, until they made it to the road. Something was about to happen alright, something that was bigger than them both and he shivered as the sky lightened with the sun. Vincent reached across the car and stroked her cheek, finally feeling complete again after his lone search.
