A poem about the way we interpret time and my own interpretation.
The Rose

Time stands still,
For a number of things.
As though life revolves and thrives
Around the halt of a second.

Time will stand,
For events catastrophic,
For the answer to the question,
For the moment of love.

Time stands not for all,
It speeds up,
Or begins to move backwards,
To the beginning of it all.

Time speeds to,
The end of wasted life.
Time moves backwards,
To the fork in the path.

Time can move forward,
Time can stand still,
Time can go backwards,
Until time isn't real.

For many,
Such a thing has happened,
Time exists no longer,
No past or present or future.

For the few left,
Something special happens,
They see the same as many,
Yet it is different.

They see life,
As if it were a rose,
So beautiful it is breathtaking,
Yet it gives reason to breathe.

There is no past,
For it is gone.
There is no future,
For it is not here.

Time will stand,
Or never exist,
For those who acknowledge,
But do not see life's beauty.

Carpe decor ad vitam.
