This poem is about being and feeling really alive and vital.
May I be this day,
this golden hour,
before the gates
of night
shining brightly,
my voice, the wind,
singing strongly
and my sight
uplifted to see
all the colors of earth
where they meet the sky.
In that moment when
I can be no more
alive than I am
right now,
let me be this,
this day,
this golden hour.
