We must all say goodbye before the end.
It’s time for me to say goodbye.

Oh how long a weary year it’s been,
Time has flown and left me again.
I can see Him soaring onward
On wings of bitter blue
While a face of ageless creases
Laughs.

I wish Him of deceitful treachery
A foul farewell and turn my back
To face a dawn of flaming gold
While chipper chickadees begin to call
And a wind carries a sweet spring
To woeful nose.

Time is such a cruel thing,
Seeming intent on only harming
Those who lose themselves
In its blissful cloak of shadowed losses.
But I’ll not drown in that abyss
For I have better things to do.

So it is time for me
To say goodbye.
To say adieu
To say farewell to you,
For the year is spent and morning calls
And sweet seas of teal and green
And cliffs of ivory shine
In the fore of my sight.

It’s time for me to go.

It’s time for me to leave.

I’ll be back one day.

Will you miss me, morning?
Will your ever-rays be reaching
For this solitary 'ness,
Ready to embrace tired wings
And give me rest upon your
Ambrosia hills?
For old man Time is bitter
And would not see me home
When my journey is done.

But morning, blessed morning,
You are so kind.
You would give me fair wind
Before the storm could break
And cover me in dew on a grassy knoll.

But now, it is time to say goodbye.

Others have gone before me and I am alone.

Will the birds of the high drafts soar with me?

Maybe I’ll dream a little more…

Before…

It is time to say goodbye.
