About words and ignorance killing off the effort you had to try and make things work
You’re spitting out words,
Like poison from your mouth,
And the poison’s killing
The last part of me that cared.

You’re cold and sharp.
Just as I think we might be okay,
I see that side of you again,
Cutting across me.
And every time I see
The beads of blood,
I say this is the last chance,
The last chance.

You’re narrow minded.
Ignorance is bliss to you;
Pretend there are no problems
And they’ll disappear,
And you can’t see them anymore.
So you avoid complicating your simple life
With my trivialities.
You’ve put on the wrong glasses
And you fail to see me.

And you say you hate it like this,
But you do it again,
Spitting out words,
Like poison from your mouth.
And the poison’s killing
The last part of me that cared.
