No ones likes to move when they are just thirteen and have lived in the same small  dumpy town all their lives. That is everyone but, me. I couldn't wait to leave Kato. I hated the very name of it, everything, from one end of the place to the other.

Everyone knew your business, your family's business and even your favorite pet's business. When you would run into one of the neighbors downtown they would ask, "how's mum doing?" Number one my mum was dead and number two, they didn't really care, they were just plain noisy looking for some gossip. No one ever really talk to me much, because I was the weird kid. They thought I really had lost it when, I dyed my hair  jet black, cut it shaggy and painted my nails to match.

I lived with my aunt and her husband after mom died. My father they said," was a no good artist and a drifter that couldn't handle my mothers death or me." I was told way back when, "they had me for my own good." Now, for my own good they were shipping me back to him.

I can't say, "my aunt and uncle were mean to me," they weren't. We just didn't see eye to eye on anything. She wanted me to be a cutesy barbie doll and he being the very nervous sort wanted me to be seen and not heard. Sometimes, I think he didn't want me seen period especially, now.

I was surprised when they said, "I could take, Misty Gray with me." I guess, they wanted both myself and my long haired foggy blue cat gone. My father was paying for us to fly back to Oregon from Minneapolis in the morning. When we arrived at the Portland airport he would pick us up and we'd go straight to his place on the coast in a little town called, Seal Point. He had a shop there where he sold and displayed his artwork.

I didn't even know my dad, but, I figured  living with him it couldn't be any worse then  being here. Some people just aren't meant to live in certain places, I think.
