'Today I'll settle for making you proud.' A man on Flight 93 with a 3 month old. Tribute.
A/N: I wrote this today, mostly as a tribute to the brave people on Flight 93. This in particular is about a man with a three month old son who was going on a business trip and ended up on Flight 93.

MAKING YOU PROUD

I’m sorry baby,
I love you but today I’m not,
Coming home.

I wanted to see you grow,
I wanted to watch your first steps,
But now I’ll have to settle,
For making you proud.

Just remember,
Remember daddy loves you,
And is watching over you,
Watching over you as you cry over me,
Watching over you
When you forget to look both ways when crossing the street,
I’ll be watching over you,
From heaven.

I wanted to be there for you,
I wanted to catch you when you fell,
But now I’ll settle for
Making you proud.

So please,
Be proud of me,
And I know mommy will help you keep all our memories.
Remember that I love you and please,
Accept my apologies for not being there,
I wanted to be there,
And I’m sorry I had to leave you,
So today I settle for,
For making you proud.

Today I’ll settle for making you proud.

I know the punctuation's kind of wonky, along with the spacing. Thanks for reading,
