Finally being able to let go.

As I sit here in this field alone,
I can feel the autumn breeze gently blow,
I watch as the leaves make their way from the trees,
As I sit here alone, on my knees.

I look to the sky,
And begin to shout, “WHY!”
So many times you have lied,
Too many tears I have cried

I misplaced my trust,
When I placed it with you
I misplaced my heart,
The same one you broke into

I had no choice but to say goodbye,
It was you who made the choice to lie.
Betrayal and deceit,
It as knocked me off my feet.

As I look around,
I feel myself start to calm down.
I no longer feel the need to ask why,
It is a relief now that I have told you goodbye!
