This is a poem about time.
Once I rode a rainbow across a star filled sky, flying on the wind as time passed me by,
Once I opened my eyes to the darkness in between the bright flecks of stars that came from in my dreams,
I turned around to find darkness all around the stars fading quickly as my feet sank into the ground,
Laughter and smiles seemed so far away, rainbows turned to worries at the start of each new day,
I had a faint dream of being filled with something I could not name, a strength within me that seemed to go away,
Time that had once moved so slow like glaciers made of snow, melted away to a river that raged the path I must go,
Once in a world created by light and hope, then dropped into darkness swirling around me unitl I choked,
Now I can no longer tell the difference are my eyes open or close, my breath becomes strained on the breaze that blows,
The darkness creeping in like a thief in the night, A dream of rainbows that can no longer exist with out the hope of light,
Time that once moved so slow now like a hurricane carrying me where I go,
How does one so quickly lose control?
In a world created from the dreams of stars and rainbows, age settles on us all like a fog that slowly turns to cement locking you in to a place you never thought existed until it slowly started closing in.
