A poem written for those times when who you are is never good enough.
How can you say to me that I am less
How can you know that I wont succeed
How can you cherish me yet keep me under your thumb
Am I reall that wrong
Is it really that bad
Must I play to your image of what should be
Can't I just be true
My LIfe is mine
I don't like ruffles of pink
I am not made of sugar and spice
I am not sweet or pliable
Cant you see me for what I am
Must you try to hide from the world
Take the salple cut away the layers
Spread them apart
Allow me to breathe
Let my eyes see the light
Can't you see I am dying
Suffocating
Let me breathe
