This is a poem I wrote after I was fooled into believing a guy wanted to go out with me.
You told me you wanted to go out,

And I wanted to jump up and shout,

So I asked if you were serious,

And of course you said "Oh yes!"

But now I know you were lying,

So I'll just give up trying,

I'm sorry if this is sounding too curt,

But right now, I'm too mad to be hurt.

I understand you testing me,

But I can't see why you lied to me,

Do you really think I'm that kind of girl?

Well then, your head's in another world.

But now I know you were lying,

And I'll just give up trying.

And do you ever care that my heart has been hurt?

Well, right now, I'm too mad to be hurt.
