A poem I wrote about redemption and personal loathing.
For You

My thoughts convulse
When I think of you
Trying so hard
Don’t know what to do
Are we as blind
As I believe
Do you have another trick
Hidden up your sleeve

I really don’t know
I wish I could tell you
I am in hell
I am still waiting on you

I watched alone
For a million years
Sung a million songs
Cried a million tears
Heaven is real
But we don’t exist
I am alone
But our love persists

I know I don’t belong
I really tried to fit in
I have nowhere to start
I don’t know where to begin

Our dreams ignite
Like a spark in the void
You saw the killer in me
And became paranoid
I won’t survive
But that’s okay
I’ll still wait for you
Every day

I am erased
I have no face
I’m so goddamn sorry
I made you cry
I will not forget you
(and neither will you)
My love will protect you
(and the killer in you).
