the life of a dragonfly

The first light of the day can just be seen. A cool breeze blows playfully, the sweetness of the nights rain is in the air. Its going to be a perfect day. The sun shins gently on the egg at first it is still, quiet. Suddenly it comes alive, the egg splits, she emerges. She stands on the remains of what used to be her home.
She is shaken from the struggle of freeing herself. She stretches her wings as she looks out on the world, she is perfect.  The erge to fined food drives her from her place.  She beets her wings for the first time, now the hunt begins. She must use caution in this world, she is pray as well, as predator.

It is mid morning now, She has joined other of her kind. The hunt has gone well, She is satisfied for now. She perches on a blade of grass to rest. The sun is worm,  the world is full of life.

She sees the bird. Dose it see her?  She dose not know,  dose she stay or flee?  The bird is closer now, if she is to flee it must be now. As she leaves her place, the bird spots her. The chase ensues. She flies franticly. The bird is on her now. Suddenly it stops, the chase has ended. The bird has found an easier pray. She must rest  She finds a field of flowers. She is fealing the earge to hunt. One moment more, and it will begin.

Afternoon is fading away she is satisfied from the hunt as a new earg fills her body she is now motivated with the unstoppable earge to fined a mate. The search continues as the evening grows late she wonders if it will happen.  She is running out of time. Then sucsess her life force will go on.

The night is growing long now. Downs not far away  she is growing tired now just on last thing to do. She finds a place she hope will be safe. Now her work is done fate will now look after her young.  She rests now for the last time Her life force slips away, the first light of down can be seen.  It was a perfect day, just one day
