a poem aboutt the colour red and what it means
The colour Red

The images you see,
Reflect emotions within you or me.
Lips pressed together,
The warning of a note in thick letter.
Roses so scarlet,
The beauty of Garnets.
All you see is red, red, red.

Warmth by the fire,
A cozy feeling of desire.
Wounds flowing with life source,
The blood in your veins sets a new course.
Flames licking the foundations of your home,
The coloring in your scalp you brush through with a comb.
All you feel is red, red, red.

Voices of passion,
Tempers which need to ration.
The cry of pain,
A pigment in the candy you scream to gain.
Whistling with heat,
The drink you wait to meet.
All you hear is red, red, red.

A tickling sensation running over your tongue,
After biting down, the coppery taste making you feel like you’ve been stung.
To your favorite main course, the sauce you add,
Hot! You yell when you realize the food is mad.
The spicy ingredient you chose not to ignore,
And that touch of jealousy over that bore.
All you taste is red, red, red.

Red is all around you, in the faces that you see,
It’s in the feelings and thoughts, your very history.
I hope you realize just how red you are,
It’s in love, hate and anger, the beating of your heart.
The colour of red exists in you and me,
Perhaps you’re blushing it now but you just can’t see.
