A poem on creativity, with 26 lines, each beginning with the next letter of the alphabet
Anyway, writing in a prescribed form can be frustrating
But at least it
Challenges one to think a little, to
Detail what one is thinking carefully
Even more than usual.
Failing that, one makes things up as one
Goes along,
Hoping that, in the end,
It all makes sense.
Just as
Kids
Like to
Make up games for themselves –
Never mind how unrealistic they might be!
Oh, it doesn’t matter. Creativity
Produces particularly wonderful games
Quickly, and
Reveals beauties of the
Soul
That little else can do!
Unless one is
Very fortunate, few of us
Will ever have such opportunities again!
Xanthippe, Socrates’ wife, would have played with children,
Yes; but it is hard to imagine the philosopher being as
Zany as this is, isn’t it?
