This is a general outline of my somewhat unorthodox viewpoints.
I'm pretty sick of all of the politics in this country right now. Everything from the Presidential Elections to global warming (whether it's fictional or not) to the basic rights that this country was founded on have become so politicized that you can hardly bring them up in civilized conversation anymore. And being politically correct! Everything people say is so careful! Don't offend anybody by actually saying what you mean, they may not like it! DON'T OFFEND ANYBODY!! It's become the motto of the entire American population! The language restrictions are starting to directly reflect on how we live our lives, how we run our businesses, how we do everything.

I don't know much. I'm only 18, after all. But I know enough to recognize the major driving force behind most of the rot in this country. Here it is: The Messiah Complex. Everyone is looking for someone who will swoop in and save the day. We want a President who will fix everything, and magically make it alright. Guess what, folks? It doesn't work like that. You want a problem fixed? Take the initiative. It's as simple as that.

*Almost Four Years later.....*
It's been a long time since I've been here. I'm a little bit older, yes. A little bit wiser? Maybe. Any different? Probably. And yet.....everything I wrote about almost four years ago still holds water. The world worships on the alter of political correctness. I'm frustrated with it, myself. Just like the rest of them, I find my tongue curbed whenever I speak, afraid that what I say may offend whoever I address, regardless of whether or not I intend them to.

There was an interesting thing that happened today. A man claiming to be from Texas called the radio station (KYCA) where I work, asking about whether or not it was true that we're all a bunch of racists here in Arizona. That should have tipped me off that it wasn't going to be a rational conversation. The calmer I was when he asked his questions, the more angry he seemed to become. Clearly he was just lookoing for an argument with somebody, and fool that I am, I obliged him. I will say this for him though: he was refreshingly direct when he closed the conversation by calling me a "no good, low-life racist sonofabitch" just because I had the poor taste to live in Arizona. Offensive, sure...but (at least from his point of view) honest.
