prisoner of love
Don't tell me it's over; don't tell me we're through
because if it's over, I'll blame it on you
I tried not to love you, I can't even pretend
to hide all my feelings, now you say, "It's the end".

Love is so painful, oh! Why does it hurt?
I just wanted to please you, now I'm feeling like dirt.
What wrong did I do you? It surely must be a crime
because since you left me I'm just serving time.

In my heart there's no windows, in my mind there's no door.
in my life there's no purpose, like I had once before.
There's nothing but darkness, grief and despair
I guess it doesn't matter, you don't seem to care.

A prisoner of your love just you hold the key
If losing you brings my freedom, please don't set me free.
I'll do time forever, an eternity I will serve
the warmth of your two arms is all I deserve.

Love holds no future, if you'll never be mine,
I'll spend the rest of my life just serving time.
With all that I offer the outcome's the same
and with my last dying breath, I'll whisper your name.
