Part 2 of "Some Say I am Intelligent"
STICKY NOTES.
Part 2 of "SOME SAY I AM INTELLIGENT.

I had a wall of sticky notes,
To tell me what to do.
What to buy and where to go,
A great help it was too.

My only fear was that my wall
of sticky notes would drop;
Humidity's a problem here
And does cause things to flop.

The summer came and with it rain:
The notes fell one by one!
Oh, what to do? My brain was lost!
My intelligence undone!

I had a thought that if I got
Some paint that's used in school
To paint the blackboards, then I could
Avoid the brand of "Fool".

Brush in hand, with master strokes,
I coloured pantry doors.
Now I write myself small notes,
I counted them. There's scores!

My grandkids love my notice board,
They draw with skill and glee,
And leave small hearts and messages
To say they do love me!

I'll have to paint the other doors,
There's no room left on here.
I can't erase "I Love you Gran"
The sentiment's too dear.

Be it a wall of sticky notes
Or a chalk board filled with hearts,
I'll never more be classified
As one of those dumb tarts!
