Love, in my eyes
Love is like a Garden. And those who seek love are passerby, seeking to find a flower. But it's not as simple as choosing any flower you like. But before you accept this metaphor as an accurate comparison of love, you must accept the fact that this garden is massive. People spend years looking for the "Someone just for them." The cold, hard truth is undeniable. That many people go their entire lives without finding love. But that person exists. And I also feel that there is not just one person for someone out there. There are 50 States in the United States of America. It has been estimated that there are 18,443 towns, cities, and other areas...IN THE U.S. ALONE. Not to mention over two hundred countries in the world. That said, this is one big garden. Love is NOT based on religion, gender, race, social standing, or anything. Now in this Garden of love, you will get hurt. There are Roses, and though they are appealing, you will be hurt by the thorns. There are dandelions; and though they intrigue you, You will be left with only a husk of the memories you gained. But somewhere among the weeds, there is a flower just for you. The thing is, some Flower's aren't perfect. Some are missing petals. But if that flower is the one just for you, you will not care. In fact, you might even nuture it. Some flowers have been picked, but then replanted. And inversly, it's likely you may find a flower, but have to replant it. And surrounding these flowers are weeds. Weeds represent danger and adversity. Some weeds include Distance, Sympathy, and race. But these obstacles can be thrown out and navigated around. This flower may not just call out to you. You may have seen and known this flower for a while now. But not all love is at first sight. Many times, relationships are forged to see if something is there. If something could be. And others around you may not always approve of you going after the flower you desire. But if it is true love, all obstacles can be overcome. There is a flower for everyone out there. Perhaps more than one. Some need a reserved, intelligent flower. Others want one that can nuture them, perhaps even be somewhat maternal. And still others desire physical affection. But the closed minded belief that physical contact is required to create and maintain love, is false. However, it is true that with 'touching', being in contact, your bond grows ever stronger. And you love your flower just the way it is. You don't glue petals on or paint it a different color. No. Absolutely not. You love that flower. You love everything about it. The good, and the bad. And what you can't deal with habit wise, this flower should be willing to change. And if it is not willing to change or can not change, then if it is true love, you will deal with it as best you can. Among the weeds, thorns, and Dandelions, there is always a flower just for you.
