The Light House

Atop a cliff,amidst trees
Stands the collosal tower of light
Shining through the moonless night
Searching for sails at the horizon

Guiding sailors through the yonder blue
Who are out at sea mapping lands to and from
Living on dried bread and rum
Dreading the dangers of life at sea

The light of hope journeys on
Guiding sailors back to their kith and kin
Bringing out a smile on the toughest men
Filling them with joy and relief
Showing them their way to land back in time

But when the light is fogged by the tide of time
'not one man clears the light........that filled
Millions of hearts with hope....................,
