The false impressions people can give, even when it's a lie to themselves.
I kid you that I’m beautiful
But I know its lies
Put on a face each morning
Take it off at night

Don’t look too closely
Past my façade
Younger than most
And the images won’t fade

I’ve seen more than you
Could ever even guess
Holding in the secrets
Close against my chest

Everything I need
I thought I had it all
Then it all went blurry
Find I have nothing and fall
