For the first time, heaven seemed insane.
Aslyn and Trent held hands in the audience of a television. The flashy pictures reflected off of Aslyn's teary eyes, which seemed to look past the dark rooms wall. Outside, rain poured down below an overcast sky. Her warm house kept it quiet enough to let Trent sleep beside her. A fleece blanket warmed them, while a soft couch sat beneath them. She adorned his soft breathing and his gentle grip. Everything was comfortable.

Despite this, tears were brought to her eyes. Not for what was, but for what might be. She didn't want this to end. So far though, life was dictating a contrasting situation. Most teenagers dislike or hate their parents. Even if it's for a passing phase from a juvenile problem. At this point in time, Aslyn still loved them. And she loved Trent. Rejecting her parents distaste for him, she had tried to make things work. However, a mind can only do too much before the heart takes over.

He was still asleep, but she knew he would have to leave soon. The allowed three hours together by her parents was host to a hideous end. Uncertainty of the next time they would be able to spend time together mocked her. She was scared that he might not wait. She was terrified that someone who she looked upon at as perfect would find someone besting herself. Maybe it was lack of confidence, or perhaps it was too much confidence in him. At this point though; the heart was taking over. The minds turn was done.

Just like she had been dreading, the time came, and it passed. The front door to the warm house shut, and Trent ran to his car in attempt to stay moderately dry. She didn't think of this as she watched through her bedroom window. She saw it as him running from her. Running and leaving her to grieve. Savoring the kiss they shared at the door, Aslyn slid open her dresser. A fine razor blade smiled at her. It's teeth shown sharply; ready to bite her wrist.

"I wanna die while I was able to share love with you,"

Love is good and love is kind
Love is good and love is blind
Love is good and love is mine
Love is good all the time

Rain insulted Asyln's face with cold kisses from heaven. Night had fallen, taking the temperature along with it. To fight this fathom, she wore a long coat and gloves. Gloves holding the default color of white. To her surprise, they weren't adorned with any shade of red. Her hair sustained it's blue tint under soaking strands.

A pair of headlights passed by on her walk and into darkness ahead. They served their purpose for a split second. A split second was all she needed to see the sign ahead. The sign which laid as a landmark for Trent's home. She found herself wanting to thank the headlights. Maybe it was fate that the person drove by. Maybe the person forgot something somewhere and was going to pick it up; naive to the knowledge that they'd be helping someones run-away. Now she wanted to thank the item. But later.

Her coat drifted in the wind and bowed to heavy rain. The sign read 331st Lane. She was here to see him, and to wrap herself in him. Forget everything else that wanted desperately to hold her back. She liked that idea, and had since she threw the razor away. Beating the metallic demon was her first step before she took literal ones. Slaying any last act of common sense, she walked closer to the house.

Beneath her, the ground was rough and unforgiving. Certain spots of mud gave away, and licked her ankles. Despite that, and the cold, and the rain, it was a hundred times better then a couple hours before. The time when she could count down the end. Now, she could only count the beginning. What would come after, she didn't know. Her heart was still making decisions.

His face appeared at the door. His face and her heaven.

If you have to go, don't say goodbye
If you have to go, don't you cry
If you have to go, I will get by
Someday I'll follow you and see you on the other side

He held and kissed and loved her. With the door still open, their love mocked the conditions outside. His hand warming her neck, and her lips kissing his; they were finally together. Why is it that things restrain people from this type of happiness? In the end, isn't it only love that matters? Rules were created on the base of love. Love is the base of everything. And tonight, love was everything.

Walls around them blurred only after the floor became distant. Her coat hung on a chair aside his shirt and aside them. Once again they found themselves in the televisions presence. No tears adorned her eyes this time. However, like last time, two warm hearts were amidst each other. Angry thoughts were executed with every heart beat. Every pulse that only counted down to more. Dormant was not a virtue they shared at this time. Soon the shirt and jacket would have the chair to themselves.

Real love is invisible. Is that just because it can't be seen? Is that why love is the best enemy? If you can't kill your enemy that you want to befriend, then what do you do? It can be a sickness or a cure. When it's a cure, then why do people withdraw it from others? Tonight, Aslyn stole the medicine that wanted her. He was healing her in the best and most mutual way imaginable.

It was just for a short moment, but her mind wanted to go down a checklist. This was to be perfect, and so she would make sure it would be. Her parents didn't know where he lived. They more than likely didn't know she was gone. Her friends wouldn't give directions if they would ask them either. She loved her friends, but she would have to apologize. Her new best friend was the boy she was with. She knew he would say the same thing to her. But now the minds cameo was done for the night. Maybe she'd think tomorrow.

If perfect was a feeling, it was felt. It was adored. It was loved.

As he holds her down
In the cold lonely wind
Together again
Her inside him
And she calls to him
