Questioning religion
Is there hope for the soul eternal,
A God of awe, and so much wonder.
A helping hand in all life's matters,
Someone to comfort, as our heart shatters.

Is there life beyond the grave,
Or do we pass, and our spirits fade?
Miracles in past, the legends carry,
But if it happened, why now tarry?

No God, no angels, my eyes have seen.
A presence felt, but the mind it seems,
plays its tricks, and pulls its strings,
to give us comfort in times of need.

A homeless mother,
A freezing child,
A fancy church,
doesn't bother...

A tongue of love,
And Words of care,
A heart of stone,
But an image shared.

Men of God,
They share their faith,
But in their heart,
corruption lays.

The Christ has risen,
That's what they say,
But in their lives,
He has no place.

I see no help from up above,
I've searched the world,
to see His love,
But in no heart, no church, no dome,
Have I found a Savior's home.

Is there life beyond the grave,
Or do we pass, and our spirits fade?
Miracles in past, the legends carry,
But if it happened, why now tarry?
