Potential poems/rhymes for modern day life & living, coffee table book.
Most would call her powder, I call her dust.
Whatever she’s labelled, she was an absolute must.
From the first altering kiss, holding more than my glare.
The places she was, I was everywhere.

She looked at my life with obvious glee;
possessions and goodies, great all for me.
It started quite slowly; my property sale,
though soon the pace quickened ‘til I grew pale.

She became my absolute; I was always in the mood,
even at times choosing her over food.
Twelve stone to seven and so I would fall,
did I realise it was her wicked call.

Not long after the meetings, along came the crimes,
never bothering her, as it gave us better times.
Shoplifting here, burglary there—
it just so happens, convictions aren’t that rare.
So today in prison, sitting in here I am,
paying for every part of her gram for gram.

Help me please, she follows me here.
But you’re in a man’s prison, I here you shout;
“Are you clear!”

She is here; leave me alone.
To the way she makes me feel, I’ve always been prone.
Break up we must, it’s right and just.
Control my lust, control my lust.

She’s killing me Doctor, you will see from within.
Please save me—She’s no longer my Heroin.
