Short poem about Spring
The cool damp grass upon my feet
reminds me that Spring is here today.
I've waited so long for the gloom to
lift and the Sun to shine and chase
the Winter blues away.

I could not believe my good fortune
as my eyes began to slowly peek.
looking up to rays of sunlight
that have filtered through the window
blinds upon my cheek.

I scrambled out to the porch where
it's been too cold and wet
and smiled at the sight of a Rbbin
sitting there.

The air is fresh and smells of clean,
The sky is as bright as I've ever seen,
The fragrance an aroma that I'd like
to share.

But, it's just a hint of Spring; Winter
is far from over yet.
So I run barefoot through the grass
to put the cold far away and
make the morning last.
