A heartbroken woman waits for her lover who will not come in the morning dew.
I hold a rose.
A single rose.
I hold a hope.
I hold a dream.
I stand alone.
In this grassy field.
I stand alone.
In the morning dew.
I wait for you.
In the morning dew.
My tears mix with the dew.
The flowers laugh at me.
I'm holding my dream.
Supporting my hopes.
The cold is unrelentless.
The fever is running high.
I fall to the ground.
But I will never die.
I remember your love.
You promised to come.
I will try hard to wait.
But death, I cannot debate.
I will brave it out till the end of time
because you said you would be mine.
The morning dew surrounds my soul
and created an ocean, oh so cruel
how could you not return to me
leave me to cry on every clover leaf
the morning dew
the morning dew
I wait for you in the morning dew.
I hold this rose, I hold this dream
I stand alone in the fog's steam.
Waiting for you to find me, love
soon I'll be accepted to the land above
But you! You won't my dear!
because you never came for me here.
