A sweet poem I dug out of a box recently. I wish I could remember who it was about.
I looked for beauty in the world
In the sun, the moon, the skies.
I longed for such that ere endures,
And found it in your eyes.

Happiness I longed for too,
And searched mile after mile.
I searched until I first met you,
And found it in your smile.

I spent long years in search of peace-
Safe, secure from harm.
A gentle calm that would not cease-
I felt it in your arms.

I worked and slaved to find success
In wealth, in fame, in might.
I found it not, but must confess,
With you I saw the light.

All my hopes, all my dreams
I feared would not come true.
But life’s not always what it seems.
I found them all in you.
