this poem is about mental illness
I've always thought it a
shame
To quench the last spark of a
flame
A flame gone dim
which should have been a roaring fire to warm us
when the frost came in

It's always a shame I say
that another angels wings
were clipped today

She was intended to serve and love
only to be destroyed
by the evil that's done

One huge purpose in a package
of atoms and Divine
Only to have great pain
because of her ill state of mind

Only in heaven will she know
why pain was her shadow
Then God will polish her
she'll receive her intended glow

I hope you know woman
what a gift to me you've been
You warmed me from the frost
even when your flame was dim

Please don't allow your struggles
to cause you despair and loss in
confidence
Just know one day you'll be at ease
with the workings of sweet
Providence

For one day you will receive back
the wholeness of your wings
Then you will join your intended place
with angels who forever sing
