Some of this is from true experiences and some of it just sounded good there.
In a state of exasperation
anesthetized is the victim
of a slanderous drunkard.
Ever drop devours the liver.
Every piercing word spoken
splinters a once bound together heart.

Imprisoned in this place of torment,
a smile disintegrates.
She's no longer pretending it's alright.
The melancholy slumber:
lost in a contented fantasy.
The impact awakens sleeping beauty.

Torn is her innocence.
She bathes herself in tears.
Anxiety overwhelms the mind.
Distress assassinates her bliss.
Only God hears the wailing
of this battered butterfly.

She veils her many bruises
building a barrier of glass
around her fractured heart.
She rises above on eagles wings.
Her power is restored.
Retalliation stops the invasion.
