Wishing I could help you sleep, with your crazy thoughts running away.
I would like to …put your head in my lap,
And touch your face and watch you sleep
Ease away your broken parts and make you
Some kind of whole again.

Watch your eyes flicker, with the last light
Last thoughts, last things that run through
Your mind as you drop and slip into
A soundless mindless sleep
