Sabrina is on her quest to find her mother, who left her when she was just a little kid.

A ray of sunlight awakened her her from a sleep that seemed to last weeks. As Sabrina opened her eyes she immediately got caught by the distinct smell of a new morning. She crawled out of her improvised shelter and stretched, while taking a big breath of cold, fresh air.

Still sleepy, she stumbled to the edge of the forest where she spent the night. She heard the wind blowing through the trees that just dropped their leaves, autumn had begun. As she walked thoughts of her mother who she had been searching for months crossed her mind. It was if she had been searching for years already, without any luck. She clutched her fists and felt anger fill her whole body. How could it be that she searched so desperately for so long and still didn't find her mother? Sabrina was determined to be successful in her quest, even though she often felt fearful for failure.

After being lost in her thoughts for minutes Sabrina stood at the field where damp and dawn lay upon the hazel colored grass. For the last couple of days it had been a routine of her to go to this field and drink from a gentle, chilly creek just at the edge of it. When she arrived at the water she felt different this time and decided to take a refreshing dip. She quickly stripped herself from her shoes and plunged ankle deep in the cold water. While feeling the shivers take over her body, Sabrina lost sense of her surroundings and returned back to deep thoughts.

She wondered what it would be like to be with her mother again, would they remember each other? Her mother left her when she was just a little girl, without a reason or one last talk. All of a sudden on a morning, she had no mother anymore and the only guide available was her father who was the king of Dania, a little country filled with blossoming trees. Sabrina didn't like her father, it seemed like every time someone stood up against him, they vanished like clouds after a thunderstorm. Because after her mother left there was no more time nor attention, Sabrina quickly became rebellious against the world. Even though she had some farmer's kids who she hanged out with, she was still a born loner.

People didn't admit to look up to her, but Sabrina knew there where plenty of whispers behind her back. It frustrated her immensely that she could never find her match, someone who would treat her like a normal being. Quickly disguises became an expertise after countless attempts to appear as an average young girl. When she found her way of being around the peasants and not being seen as the princess everyone saw her as, soon a teacher who taught her the crafts of sword fighting was found.

Sabrina was not a sweet or shy girl, after her mother left she felt rejected, angry and was very mad at the world and everyone in it. Learning sword fighting gave her a way to use the vast anger for a purpose. Who would be able to touch her, being the best fighter in the world? She imagined herself being the power leader of an endless realm, who everyone respected.

All of the sudden she heard loud footsteps, but they were not human. Sabrina quickly hid behind a big rock at the side of the creek and curiously peeked at what was coming. At the horizon she saw a big black horse with a fierce warrior appear, his hair gently waving in the wind as he quickly came near Sabrina. Then the rider suddenly stopped and looked around aggressively, sitting on his horse which was stumbling around nervously. Sabrina didn't know if she should let him notice her or stay silent behind the rock. After some thinking she decided to keep put and see what the warrior was about to do next.

A few minutes passed and the rider kept skimming the horizon for some thing or some one, Sabrina wasn't sure. The warrior seemed to be content with what he had seen and decided to ran off into the forest. At that moment Sabrina didn't know, but it would soon be sure that this man was of big importance........
