This is a poem about our society and how it has turned out to be...
I think about the days that go by
And how so many people have died
But you have to admit
Were a society full of violence
A world full of hate
Don't you think it's just a little too late
To change it back to how it use to be

When people cared
When people swallowed up their pride
When drugs weren't invented
And people's hearts weren't dented
When people actually loved
And didn't take others for granted
Sometimes I wonder
If this is what it'll all come to
In the end

Tragedies rule our world
From The Jewish Holocaust
To 9/11 when the twin towers collapsed
And then there are things around my city
To the Columbine Killings...
And now the Tech Shootings...

Who ever said that people learn from their mistakes?
Because some don't
They just repeat themselves
Just like history will
Over and Over

And Over?

I wonder if they'll be a day
When everyone loved and got along
Because it just might be
A little too late

But I believe in a little thing called hope
It may not change the world
But it could change someone's heart
And I believe in a little thing called love
I believe that it'll someday out rule hate
And change the nation
