They fall in love; then claim they didn't. They always end up happy; it must be my fault.
Written in September 2007 -- been in my head since 2004

“No Confusion”

Nothing can come from complication.
You were all this and confusion.
I still don’t understand you.
I still don’t understand why I look your way.
I told you to smile and you said you were made depressed.
You will never know how much I care about you.
You did have a purpose.
It was good to know you.
I know what I shouldn’t have.
You were inspiring;
always fighting for what you need.
I will see you one day, but only in your dreams.
They are so big.
They never included me.

And so you are added to that list
Fall in love, then leave
Then deny

I can’t believe I went. I drove to the lake.
Drove around it. It was dark.
Of course you weren’t here.
It was stupid anyways.
Everything that day, that night
It was crazy how many memories there are.
They seem all good too.
They are forever but don’t require a together.
I have more now.
They are pure;
made with truth and love and no confusion.
