life at it's worst
As I turn and face myself for the very first time
Caught a glimpse of the mirror inside of me
My face is there but the vision is wrong
Underneath the surface is where I’ll hide
Searching for my reason to belong

Trapped alone with misery
To decimate this life inside of me
Searching and running
Searching for a safe place somewhere for me to hide

For as I stare into this mirror
My shattered face falls to the floor
I’ll hold the pieces bleeding me
Screaming for damnation
Screaming for my blood to slicken the floor

A lesson in life learned
To believe what you don’t want to see
Who are you?
To stand before this mirror
And know it’s sanity you keep
Who are you?
Who are you?
To say you know what lies inside?
