Depending on your past, you may not know the true peace of Love
Alone in the darkness, she listens
She wonders if she’ll ever feel complete
She keeps remembering the past
And she constantly wants to retreat
To the time when she didn’t feel, when none of it seemed so real
That it haunts her dreams, and ignites her fears
The fears that she tries to hard to let no one hear

Alone in the darkness she listens
But this time she hears a small voice
Not one of fear and anger
But of a peace, a calm, a comfort
“Do not fear little one, I’m here” was the first words she heard
“I love you and want to protect you….I won’t ever leave your side
Just as me to come into your heart, and heal your shattered mind”
“If you accept my invitation, you will be able to let the fear behind”
“The fear of the hurt, the fear of the pain, that fear that you had as a child”
You are my child now, and I love you so; Don’t ever doubt that and just so you know
You are the apple of my eye, the joy of my heart, my delight
No matter what you may have to endure, my kingdom has become your birthright

Alone in the darkness, she finally feels peace
Not afraid of her dreams of her thoughts
She’s finally found a “daddy” to love her
To hold her in the night
To let her know her fears are gone…that it’s all going to be alright
